About Us
Lighthouse Road was founded by Joseph and Amanda Jones. In 2020, we moved into the tiny cottage in Buxton that Joseph’s parents built in 1963. Not long after settling in, we noticed a need for truly original graphics to represent the Outer Banks—a place that has always felt like home.
It took a few years for the idea to take shape, but living just five minutes from the iconic Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the inspiration eventually came to us in a way that felt less like invention and more like a realization.
Though we’ve spent much of our lives in Virginia, our connection to this region runs deep. For us—and for so many who visit—the Outer Banks is not just a destination. It’s a place that stays with you. It’s where your thoughts drift back to and you plan your next trip while on the quiet drive home, and for locals, there is the awareness of this area being one’s true center: where nothing else is needed.
Our hope is that the graphics we’ve created serve as a reminder of your journey to, and along, the coast, and the joy and grounding it brings.
Welcome to Lighthouse Road.
